Dear experts,
Please go through the following & provide best possible solution.
We are producing FERT (Finshih Goods)matrerial through process orders. In that we are consuming HALB materials (Semifinish Goods). The Batch Number of SFG material is carry forward as Batch Number of FERT material.
Means SFG & FG material have same Batch Numbers.
Both SFG & FG materials are going under quality inspection though 04 inspection set up at respective individual GRN posting against individual Process Order confirmation.
Now my requirement is that, system should restrict the UD of inspection lot of FERT Material related Batch Number, if the UD of inspection lot of SFG material is not performed for that Batch Number.
e.g.
Material Type Material Code Inspection lot Batch No
FERT A 4XXXXXXXX NNNNNNNNNN
HALB B 4YYYYYYY NNNNNNNNNN
System should restrict UD of inspection lot- 4XXXXXXXX of material A, till the UD of inspection lot-4YYYYYYY of matrial B is not complete.

Hi,
Unless & untill you will not clear UD of your SFG you can not consume this material for process order of FG .
When you are doing UD for FG already UD of SFG must have been cleared.
In your scenario SFG b No 001 unless you give you UD how you can consume it for FG B no -001.
Just elaborate.

The user exit check is your best option,
Stock posting and UD are not necessarily linked. You can make a stock posting without doing the UD, hence the SFG could be consumed before the FG. You can also not post the SFG to QI to start with so it can be used. Then the lot for the SFG can be done anytime, i.e. after the UD of the FG.
You might also want to check with your PP or PP/PI consultant or in the PP forums. You might be able to put in check or a user exit in the order that prevents moving forward to certain operations in the order until quality is completed in an earlier operation. I believe this is possible.

Hello,
You may try using following userexits while making usage decision for FERT:
QEVA0010 UD: Usage decision check
QEVA0006 Entry to usage decision transactions
