quality stock type

Hi, forgot to mention 01 insp type in material master and ticked post to insp stock field in material master. when u recieve the material, the qty is appearing in qualaity stock type where as insp lot is not created. pls advise now to move the stock in unrestricted stock type by recording the results?

Hi Yadav,

Since you have not activated 01 type in QM view and clicked Post to inspection, lot is posted to quality w/o insp lot generated.

You can post this using MB1B and movement type 321, by this stock will go to Unrestricted. you can't do result recording for this.

Now activate 01 insp type for this material , and assign MIC's and make insp plan. system will create lot and you can RR for all GR's done thereafter.

As lot has not been crated then try with MB1b movement type 321 & do manual posting for the same.

Since QM wasn't activated, you could have cancelled the material document for the posting, then corrected your material master data. Then redo the receipt and you would have gotten an inspection lot and the process would work as you wanted to.

Hi YS,

As you have not maintained Insp. type 01 in material master, lot will not be created for the GR from PO.

Where you clicked the "post to Insp. stock " indicator,. If in any other insp. type then qty. will not be transferred to insp. stock.
