Our client has a few laboratory characteristics that require some fairly elaborate calculations. Because these are used, without modification, over a variety of materials, it has been decided to use reference operation sets to predefine the different calculation steps in one place, and then copy these steps into the inspection plans where needed.
This all works fine until we get to PLMKB-FORMELSL, which is the calculate formula indicator in the inspection plan characteristic on the quantitative data screen. The formula comes over just fine and all the other relevant detail is also copied, but this indicator is not set, rendering the calculation unusable unless someone comes in and manually resets the indicator.
The characteristic is correctly maintained in the needed plant for the control indicator for Calc. formula indicator.

It was an error in copying the reference operation set. Later testing revealed that all was well.
