bbp_pd template_type what is the use?

I was searching the field for old purchase order template for last 1 week. no answers in sap.

but why sap kept this filed in bbp_pd template_type in crmd_orderadm_h field template_type?

a,b,c,d?

have you ever seen any value in this field?

template_type field is used to distinguish the document templates for different object types. For example, bid invitation template will have this field filled with "Z", auction template "Y", contract template "W", etc. A,B,C,D is probably only used in CRM, as SRM reuses this CRM data element.
