OPENPS 4.03 and Project 2007 Error

We are currently implementing the Project System in our company, we started using OpenPS 2.02 with Project 2003 and it was fully working.

Now we are trying to run OpenPS 4.0 SP3 with MS Project 2007 SP2, but this error keeps occurring:

Error Number = 91

Error Description = Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Error stack Trace = at OPenPS_BackEnd_Adapter.OPEN_PS_BACKEND_ADAPTER.GetInstance(Connection& destination, Boolean UseBWRFC)

Error Help File =

Tested on several computers, with Windows XP and Windows 7, all with SAP Logon 7.10 patchlevel 16 intalled before OpenPS.

Anyone encountered this error?

Hi,

We also faced same problem initially, this is happening in the systems where we are upgrading OpenPS with 4.03 version. If you install in a new system (where there is no OpenPS earlier) then it will work fine. Also from your technical team install latest version of microsoft.netframe work.

Hi Kishore,

you have to uninstall the openPS v 2.0 from your computer (in control painel)  before you install the openPS v 4.0.
