Hello Gurus
I am looking into how we can roll the unconsumed forecast forward.
If the monthly forecast is not consumed by the sales orders rather than leave it in the past and confuse the planners I would like to roll it forward, so it is always in the future.
For example
We have a monthly forecast of 400 split evenly into 20 working days.
On day 1, we consume 10 leaving a total balance of 390.
When planning the following day, rather than leave the balance of 10 on day 1, we would like to split the remaining 390 forecast into the remaining 19 buckets. i.e days 2 to 20 will now have a forecast of 20.5 a day.
How can I achieve this in APO as simply as possible?
Many thanks.

Hi Elamobel,
Have you checked using the period split value of 2 for release of forecast quantity over the remaining workdays while releasing the demand from DP to SNP.
Let me know if it helps.

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried the period split value of 2 and this releases the forecast in its entirety to the remaining days of the month. I think this will be an important step in a possible solution.
My view now is that the solution is possibly
1) Create a KF that is forecast - month to date sales in DP
2) Release this KF into snp/ppds every night using the split value 2.
I have been unable to find a more standard solution.
