Hi,

The third party sales per se does not have the Delivery and PGI as the process. However we have another process, which is almost similar to 3rd party sales which has Delivery and PGI.

In a normal 3rd party sales, TAS is the item category, which will have the SLC which will create a PR automatically. A PO will be created with reference to PR and then MIRO can be done for the PR. Once MIRO is done, the sales order can be invoiced. This is controlled by TAS with billing relevance F.

On the other hand there is another process called Individual Purchase orders, which will also create a PR and PO. The item category in this case is TAB, which will have the billing relevance as "Delivery related Billing:. In this case the GR is done with reference to PO and the material is received in the plant.GR goods is done specific to the sales order (Reserved stock). After GR, delivery can be done for SO, and then it can be invoiced.

So the item category TAS, TAB, controls whether delivery can be created or not.

Hope this helps. If you need more info, pls lemme know.

Why you want to have a delivery & PGI in Third party sales,

the scenario itself stating that the goods are dispatching from third party, not from your plant, then why you want to do PGI for it.

hope you know, once you perform the PGI, quantity & value get updated & respective reports as well as LIS get data gets updated.

Anyhow you are doing MIGO in Thirdparty sales, how much goods have been issued from the vendor electronically, which will be track of the dispatched goods from third party to ship to party.

yes that is possible and i guess that depend on the item catergory and schedule line item category settings

and you need to make sure the material type is non valuated for the material in question so that stock update can happen for 3 rd party sales
