Gurus,

I am about to start the export for system copy. But when I call sapinst, I get the following error

iaextract.c:439: Error opening archivefile /DUMP/INST_MAST/IM_AIX_PPC64/./sapinst

Any ideas?

Dear all,

We were using filezilla to ftp the S/W dump to our server and filezilla was creating problems. It was corrupting the sapinst.

Now issue is resolved. FTP ed the zip file to the server and unzipped itthere thus saving the sapinst.

Thank you all for your time and support

Dear Mark,

Yes, more than thrice I deleted the dump and copied it back by ftp or other utilities.

I used the files from the DVD as well as tried downloading the latest installation master from service market place

Thanks

Dear Rajesh,

I set

SAPINST_JRE_HOME=/usr/java14_64/jre

and you are asking me to set the ownership to root:sapsys or root:system?

Currently its root:system

The same error is still coming

I am on Power Processor

and

/DUMP/INST_MAST/IM_AIX_PPC64/sapinst is also returning the same error

Also, are the below mentioned paths set properly?

bash-3.00# echo $JAVA_HOME

/usr/java14_64

bash-3.00# echo $SAPINST_JRE_HOME

/usr/java14_64/jre/bin

Hi,

set

SAPINST_JRE_HOME=/usr/java14_64/jre

instead of

SAPINST_JRE_HOME=/usr/java14_64/jre/bin

Under which users login you are trying to execute ./sapinst ?

If it is ROOT, then change the ownership of your DUMP folder to "root:sapsys"

#chown -R root:sapsys /DUMP

Then try again...

Regards.

More information needed:

How do you you try to start sapinst?

Which command? From which directory?

Does file /DUMP/INST_MAST/IM_AIX_PPC64/./sapinst exist?

The dot in between is looking strange.

Does file /DUMP/INST_MAST/IM_AIX_PPC64/sapinst exist?

Permissions are alright of the Installation Master dump and /tmp

variables like PATH and SAPINST_JRE_HOME are set to /usr/java14_64/jre/bin

I am trying by latest Installation Master now. Will update this message on what happens
