How to Restore a DP backup

hi,

i have backed up a SAP Database backup (SMB) using HP data protector.

The backup was successful

But, there is no way to restore that using the Data Protector

Please let me know how to restore this SMB backup

is it possible to restore using HP DP or do we have to use BRRESTORE option?

Hi,

Please refer section Restoring Oracle Database of this useful document ["HP Data protector Integration Guide for Oracle and SAP"|http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00751982/c00751982.pdf] to get more detailed information.

You can restore Oracle DB directly on the Database. The Oracle Agent installed at Oracle DB host will take the whole responsibilities of DB Restore or You can dump it to other location and you can manually Restore Oracle DB.
