Error during MI WAS Server

Hi all,

We successfully completed the ABAP stack part of MI Application server installation.

During the Java part of the Server installation we got the following error :

ERROR 2006-06-17 21:29:04

CJS-20057 Starting J2EE Engine DVEBMGS00 of SAP system PMI failed: after 21 seconds the state of the engine changed from "Stopping" to "Stopped".

**************************************************

It is regarding Java Add-in for ABAP > Oracle > Central System > Java System Finalization. It is failing to start J2EE engine during Java System Finalization installation.

can anyone help us in this issue?

hello saptak,

when the sapinst throws the error dialog on this phase, try

running your java server process thru the SAP MMC. you can

look on the developer trace thru the MMC as well to know the

actual reason.

sometimes, the server cannot startup due to lack of memory

etc... if this is your case, thru setting the Xmx to 512M

and try restarting your java server process.

depending on your system's resource, the startup process

might takes several minutes... so when the process is in its

green state i.e. all apps started, try on selecting the retry

button of the error dialog.
