AFAB Depreciation

Hello Experts,

I have a question regarding the T.code AFAB. When I run AFAB during the month end, does AFAB posts the depreciation for all the depreciation areas maintained in that particular asset master?

Please let me know how AFAB works.

It depends on the set up of the depreciation area when it comes posting to GL, for example, it can be POST APC only, POST depreciation only etc.

Hi Harish,

1) For every ara depr. is calculated according to the parameters:

o depreciaiton key

o depreciation start date

o Asset value date

2) If the depreciaion is posted to G/L, the following parameter is relavant: OADB field "Posting in G/L" (table field T093-BUHBKT)

0 Area Does Not Post

1 Area Posts in Realtime

2 Area Posts APC and Depreciation on Periodic Basis

3 Area Posts Depreciation Only

4 Area Posts APC Directly and Depreciation

5 Area Posts APC Only

6 Area Posts Only APC Directly
