Inbound Supply Chain solutioning

Hi,

One of our client is looking for a standard product for raw material (RM) procurement process having following features:

1) RM Requirement Planning : How RM requirement are identified and adjusted and aggregated for procurement?

2) Ship Scheduling: How RM requirement becomes part of shipment?

3) Cargo Allocation: How 2/3 cargo from the different suppliers in the same region are combined into a vessel?

4) Cost Management: How the cost of in-bound logistics u2013 total and elemental - calculated, used and reported?

5) Shipment Prioritization: How fleet management and prioritization is done?

6) Shipment Tracking: How the shipment is tracked till delivery

Though this requirement is more from inbound supply chain perspective, we are just thinking whether i2 or APO can address some/all of these features. Since the client is already using ECC, APO, i2 for different business units, it is looking for solution both in APO & i2. Any help will be appreciated. thanks

Hi Prashant,

I dont have exposure on i2 but I can provide inputs on

APO front

Your requirement No.1 RM requirement planning will

be addressed in APO in Supply network planning

Requirements 2 and 3 will be addressed in SCM as

TP/VS (Transportation planning and vehicle scheduling

functionalities)

Requirement 4 can be mapped to Cost optimisation during

TP/VS

Requirement 5 & 6 are on EWM (enterprise warehouse

module)
