Arabic text input when logged in EN

Hello Experts,

I have a search help popup that we need to input some arabic text in. We have a new database table column for employee First and last names in arabic. so I made a new search help for these 2 fields, when I the search help for these 2 fields and input first name in arabic when the system refereshes the arabic characters are toggled to ????? and no result ids found.

actually this applies in all search help fields and I need to rsolve this issue since the client needs to login in English but will also input some fields in the search help and others in arabic.

please help!!

Hello,

It is a limitation of F4 search help with ActiveX control, that you can only display and input system

locale setting languages on F4 popup, as you see in the note 857437 and note 508854's attached

document (1.7).

If you would like to display and input arabic language with

system locale setting set as English, please use the dialog

mode of the F4 help.

(SAPGUi menu "Help" -> Settings -> F4 help tab -> Display column

tick "R/3 dialog (modal)" instead of "Control".

Also, please check whether the following note helps you:

857437 - Search Help:Field names and dialog title seen wrongly as '?' "

Can you please check whether the following explanation helps you:

"The display of the question marks is a know issue of the

control based F4-help. The control based F4-help works only correct

if the Windows locale matches the system code page of the application

server (see also: 'I18N_Guide.zip' attached to note 508854, section 1.7)
