hello,
what is the different between;
PRD_OFFLINE_BRBACKUP and PRD_SMB_OFFLINE
both are offline backups. so what are the adv/disadv of getting 2 different kind of offline backups.
PRD_OFFLINE_BRBACKUP
Getting "ARCHIVELOGS + DATABASE"
Command using: -t offline -d util_file -c
PRD_SMB_OFFLINE
Getting "DATABASE"
Command using: -t offline_split -d util_file -c

Brbackup offline will take the database to the down state and will take the backup
In the case of Split Mirror Backup, mirrored disks will be split by the brbackup for taking the backups. this is usually configured for large systems for taking the offline backup.
Instead of taking backup of production server ON THE production server, brbackup is started on the configured backup server.
