[PI 7.1] Configure PI as HTTPS server

Hi,

a third party should send us messages via HTTPS with SSL encryption. So PI is the server.

In SMICM the HTTPS is signed as activ and I imported ther certificate from client into STRUST, but the

service seemed not available.

As I found in this forum additionally I need to install the crypto library:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/96/709b3ad94e8a3de10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

-Is this even necessary for PI 7.1??

-Is the only way to check if SSL is available to check if the sapcryptolib is available in <DRIVE>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\run ???

-In install guide it is mentioned that "A corresponding license ticket ( ticket)" is needed. Do I need a special license for crypto lib?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Have you check out this document? http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/60ff2883-70c5-2c10-f090-a744def2b...

- Yes, it's necessary to install the SAPCryptolib libraries.

- I don't think so, you must to set the instance profile (TA RZ10), change ssf/ssfapi_lib and sec/libsapsecu parameters with the path where the libraries were installed.

- You don't need special license for do it.

Best regards
