Does MDM 7.1, have any limitations regarding number of records per repository? or number of fields/attributes per record?
What are the volume limitations? We have a significant amount of consumer//household data not currently managed in MDM and are wondering if the volume of data poses an issue in our planning.
Hi Sandra,
You have to look into your Repository Design Model for optimized MDM performance like fields in main table, sub-tables, look-up fields, Tuples etc. Refer SAP Note, 1012745 - Tips for improving MDM performance
https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap/support/notes/1012745
Also refer, http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SAPMDM/EfficientRepositoryDesigninginMDM
For Data volume, you have to look into how many number of records are you going to maintain in MDM repository, accordingly you need to do Sizing, refer Sizing Guide for more details:

Hope this helps..

Hi,
I have never came across of any such data volume restriction with MDM and strongly feel Data volume will not be issue if you create a performance optimized repository model and do Server sizing perfectly.
For MDM server sizing, please go through [this document|https://websmp209.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001921872008E]
This document explains CPU, Memory, disk space etc sizing very well based on total number of records in MDM Main table, no of subtables, etc. factors.

Shiv
