Hi Experts!!
I want to implement a end to end scenarios which use Services registry.
Scenario: 1. PI will expose WSDL to 3 rd party
I know i have to publish the endpoint URL in SR .. and its published. But not able to test it .. 503 service unavailable error.seen this link [link |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/45/c1ea61a1194432e10000000a155369/frameset.htm] but have doubt in configuring the Discovery host URL
Qns1. How the 3rd party will post to SR? Do we need to register its details in SR?
Is the 3rd party going to post thru the URL , the way it was done in PI 7.1 without SR,if yes what is the need to publishing then?
Qns2. How to connect 3rd party to SR?or how to provide the details of SR for searching the link in SR?
Scenario: 2. 3 rd party exposed a URL/WSDL
Qns1 How will they publish in our SR ? do we PI dev need to take the link and publish?
Qns2 How to configure the SR , i have seen the [link |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/45/c1ea61a1194432e10000000a155369/frameset.htm] but have doubt in configuring the Discovery host URL
Qns3 How PI interface will discover the link in SR(dynamically ).. are there any setting to be done in SR for this.
I have been pondering on this points since quite some time ... any help will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged.
Regards,
Srinivas
The services created in the NetWeaver Components (like PI or EP) will be published in Service Registry.....we do not publish the services of other applications in SR....it should be done on that particular application......more over what publishing means is that....the WS is generated from PI (or other NW components)....i.e. there is a Sender SOAP channel/ scenario involved.
Regards,
Abhishek.
