Hi all,
I have a very basic question,
I was reading through many helpful articles and blogs,
Please clarify me, how we are going to install XI,
Is it going to be maintained as a seperate box,
or
Is it going to be a piece of software to be installed.
Thanx in Advance.
Sanjeev

[PLEASE REWARD FOR POSTING]
Sanjeev,
XI is not a piece of code that can be installed on a R/3 instance, however technically it might be a feasible thing to do.
It requires a WAS which has both ABAP and Java stacks and then on top of that XI will be installed. It ususally requires high memory for itself and if you installing in a customer landscape, its not advised to install it along with other software.
Hope this clarifies your question.
Please close the thread if the question is answered.
regards,
Ravi
