EQUIPMENT EXPIRY INDICATION

Is there a way in SAP QM were the system will INDICATE when a particular equipment is expired. It can be either automatically or using a report when we run that report every 6 month or 1 year.

IH08 will provide you a report showing the "Valid to" date of the equipment. You can run this and sort by the column. This is not QM specific however. Under the general section you can limit this by using the Equipment category field and using the value of "Q" in there to limit it to "Test/measurement equipment" if you want.

The other option would be to assign an equipment class to your equipment that contains a characteristic that references the field you want. You can then use the class search functionality of IH08 for equipment that expires in a certain date range.
