Hi experts,

04 inspection type is activated in MM03. But when I try to change the stock type to "Quality inspection" in the CO01 -production order screen, system displays an error "Inspection is active - indicator is set automatically" and changes by default to "Unrestricted use" stock type. How to eliminate it and make system to accept quality stock posting.

Hi, one more thing....I think you understood the other way. if 04 type is activated in MM01, then by default "Quality stock" should come in the CO01 screen of production order. Why "unrestricted use" comes.

Because if QM wasn't active, that is where the production stock would go.

Hi,

once you active 04 inspection type then in order you will get by default Quality inspection.& if 04 not active then by default it will come unrestricted use,

So its depend on you what whther you want qulaity active or not.

If it is not possible to change the stock type in the production order, then how to post the quantity into quality stock. atleast is it possible to change in the MIGO screen to post to" Quality stock".

IF you have the 04 inspection type active, that controls if it goes to quality or not. You don't have to worry about what is in the production order or in MIGO. QM controls it. If it is not goig to QI stock when you do the GR from production, then you don't have something set up right in QM.

You can't change this in the production order.

Once the 04 inspection type is activated, you can't change that field in the production order and that is exactly what the system is telling you.

Wether the stock goes to unrestricted or QI is controlled by the indicator "post to QI stock" in the 04 inspection type setup for that material in that plant.

Production can't choose whether it does or does not go to quality or what stock category it goes to. That is stricly determined by the 04 inspection type setup.
