Online Storage bin creation

Hi,

I have few doubts in WMS area and they are

1. When we create Picking area and without picking area can we do the outbound delivery activities. What the relation between shipping point and picking area.

2. While creating storage bins which option do we use, i.e. Create storage bins immediately or on batch mode. If we have to

create in batch mode which batch job we have to schedule. Which one is client prefferable immediate creation or batch creation.

Answer to your second question is that ,

Either you can created through bin structure i.e LS10

Secondly create program with LS01N transaction to load as many bins as you want.

This is your choice.

1. Picking area is only used to split picking lists per picking area. You can do without it. It has no relation to a shipping point.

2. Before LSMW you could set up bin structure in customizing and automacially create the bins. Now with LSMW, it is easier to make an LSMW to create all the bins. With batch creation (LSMW uses it too) you have better options to analyze errors.
