Hello there,
I am thinking of installing a linux system on my laptop and install another instance of WebAS in Linux, however, I have had an installation of SAP programs in Windows and a MAXDB setted up as well in one of the NTFS partitions, and I am hoping that the new instance of SAP could make use of the original MAXDB, is there any chance I can do that?
Also, does anyone know how to install SAP in ubuntu Linux (which is Debian based)?
Thanks!
Regards,
Anyi
Hi Anyi,
Welcome to SDN!
I do not think that you can use the same MaxDB installed on Windows, on Linux too. You can get the Linux based MaxDB software from
https://websmp209.sap-ag.de/swcenter-3pmain
As you can see, there are different downloads for MaxDB windows and linux versions.
Check out http://service.sap.com/instguides and you can
find the guides for Linux there.

Srikishan
