Availability check

Hi People,

I am running availability check considering replenisehment lead time. Procurement indicator for my material is X( IN house produced and externally procured).

The issue is lets say I enter in house production time as 2 days and GR processing time as 2 days then if today I have zero stock, the system confirms stock after 4 calander working days which is OK. But when I procure material from external vendor and lets say it takes 3 days to procure from him, thinking this I am entering this 3 days value in feild Planned delivery time in MRP 2 view(MARC-PLIFZ). System is not considering this times unless I make procuremetn type as externally produced only.

Am I making any mistake in entering time or by default system will consider time of inhouse production of materila even if procurement type is X.

Please guide?

Hi,

As much as I know, in the standard SAP, when the system is using the RLT it is taking it directly from it's definition in MRP 3 view, field MARC-WZEIT, not by scheduling the LT from other definitions of the material (like you imply).

So, it really doesn't matter if the procurement type is X or else. Check to see if in your system this logic was altered by using a user exit in the ATP check!

Regards,

Mario
