We are currently working on the WEBAS6.2 ---> XI -
> thrid party .
WEBAS6.2 and XI will be used by ABAP Proxy connection .XI to thrid part is file adapter .
For testing we configure local FTP in desktop with the help of below webblog before we configure this file to go to third party.
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/4120. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
We configured all the things . We are getting error - http response contains status code 401 with the description unauthorized.
We are not using HTTP adapter , We are using FTP local .
Please help us on this .
Thanks a lot .

Check Q26 of this SAP note: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/821267
Check if the FTP port is opened from your end....ask the newtwork team to open this port (21)
Check with the passive mode...in your channel.
No Sathish - Message processed successfully , But file not there in the FTP folder.

Hi,
Check the port or service no mentioned in the connection to the XI from the WAS 6.2 is using the correct details...
Also check the user used have the sufficient authorisations of PI...

Hi,
This error is related to the user id and password that you add in the RFC created on the WAS 6.20 end.
Please check that the user id has all the authorizations.
Also I suggest that in the SXMB_ADM of WAS 6.20 ....give the Integration path as http:// Destination
Destination = RFC destination you create in sm59 for PI connection.
The above will resolve your error.
Cheers

401 unauthorized means that you are not using the same user as you have maintained in the FTP.....or the user does not have sufficient rights to post the file....can you once again check if you have use the correct user-name and password in XI and the user has all the rights....read/ write/ delete on the FTP.
