DMS classification of a document

Hi Expert,

Iu2019m working with DMS.

I have a question about the document classification (type 017).

Is it possible to read the value of a characteristic before save a document (for example with a badi)? I hade to check the entries before save and to create with an exit the name of the document using same values of the characteristic.

Hi Marcella,

regarding your description I would suggest you to use the BADI DOCUMENT_MAIN01 with method BEFORE_SAVE.

this method doesnt' give the characteristcs value, so I cannot read the value inserted by the user.
