Number ranges for outbound delivery

we had found that some of outbound deliveries got generated but not updated in database i.e when user is trying to complete the PGI using VL02N system is saying that 123 delivery does not exist in the database or in the archive.

plz suggest the posible reason for these kind of problems and how to resolve.

Hi,

If you want to assign a new number sereies for Out bound Delivry then please use the below T-cods.

a) T-code "VN01" ( assign a new number range)

b) T-code " OVLK" (NR int. ass)

Hi,

Please goto the transaction code SM13 and check whether there is any issue in the Update

In the Transaction SM13 enter the client and the user details and click on EXECUTE , in the next screen you will find the tabs like UPDATE HEADER and UPDATE MODULES

Please click on those two, there you will find the error if any while updating the documents in the data base

Before this check if you are getting any error like UPDATE TERMINATED pop-up

Please check and revert

Maybe System was processing that DN at that moment. According to my understand, some std process will be processed in background mode. you can try to change it later after you created the DN.
