Hello,
due to less space on sapdata5 I want that the PSAPP01 tablespace will be saved in sapdata1.
Could please someone tell me how to perform this action in BRTOOLS?
Space conditions on my current SAP system:
Sapdata1 80% free
Sapdata2 9% free
Sapdata3 13% free
Sapdata4 20% free
Sapdata5 0% free
Thank you in advance,
Alessandro
Hi,
You can move data files (which are part of Tablespace) from SAPDATA5 directory to other directory (to new sapdata# directory or existing one) by using BR*Tools. The required space should be there at new location where you wan to move the data file(s).
Please refer [Moving a Data File with BR*Tools|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/EN/1e/5f863f06593a17e10000000a114084/frameset.htm] to get more information.

Hello,
thank you very much for your answer and the brtools help link.
Just have one question about the selection of the data file in brtools:
CMD: Brtools
2 - Space Management
6- Move Data File
The following screen appears:
BRSPACE options for move data file
1 - BRSPACE profile (profile) ...... initQ01.sap
2 - Database user/password (user) .. /
3 ~ Tablespace names (tablespace) .. Re: Pointing Tablespaces from Sapdat5 to Sapdata1 (BRTOOLS)
4 ~ Data file names (file) ......... /oracle/Q01/sapdata5
5 - Confirmation mode (confirm) .... Re: Pointing Tablespaces from Sapdat5 to Sapdata1 (BRTOOLS)
6 - Scrolling line count (scroll) .. Re: Pointing Tablespaces from Sapdat5 to Sapdata1 (BRTOOLS)
7 - Message language (language) .... Re: Pointing Tablespaces from Sapdat5 to Sapdata1 (BRTOOLS)
8 - BRSPACE command line (command) . -p initQ01.sap -s 20 -l E -f dfmove -t PSAPP01 -f /oracle/Q01/sapdata5
3 -> that´s the name of the tablespace I want to move
4 -> Do I have to put here the adress of the current sapdata5 file oder the path of the new sapdata1 to wich I want to move sapdata5.
Sicnerely,
Alessandro
Hi,
Go through the suggested link to get step by step details again.
3 -> that´s the name of the tablespace I want to move
Yes. You will have to specify the tablespace for which data files are to be moved
4 -> Do I have to put here the adress of the current sapdata5 file
oder the path of the new sapdata1 to wich I want to move sapdata5.
Here u will have to give the file name with its full location.
e.g.
/oracle/GC2/sapdata3/users_1/users.data1
Go ahead with the instructions, you will have to provide other location in Move destination (destination) as an input upon getting.
