Dear Experts,
I am not clear about the relation between planning area & MPOS of Demand planning and SNP
I created a planning area and MPOS for demand planning for example
Plannning area X
Master planning object structure - X - Demand planning
planning book X
Now i want to use sap standard SNP planning area
9ASNP02 - PLANNING AREA
9ASNPBAS - MPOS
9ASNP94 - PLANNING BOOK IN SNP
NOW i am planning my demand in Dp and tranfered to snp ,
how the system knows or where i need to tell my demand from demand planning book X need to transfer
SNP planning book - 9ASNP94
please throw some lights to me , where i am missing
Thanks & Regards
Raj
note : if you are not clear about what i written plesae ask for more information
Rajkumar,
What you have done is correct. For releasing demands from dp to snp use the txn /SAPAPO/MC90 - Release Demand Planning to Supply Network Planning
Here you can configure all the details necessary to transfer from DP to SNP.
Apart from this if you are having further confusion related to relationship between MPOS, Plng area and plng book, pls put across your question, we will try and help.
Thanks
Mani

Hi Raj,
Your question is as below:
How the system knows or where i need to tell my demand from demand planning book X need to transfer
SNP planning book - 9ASNP94
In the release transaction i.e. /SAPAPO/MC90 , we need to give the target version .
Each version is assigned to exactly one Planning Area( though one PA may have more than one versions. Secondly at a time only one version will be active and in SNP / PPDS the Active version is always '000' which is connected to SAP ERP systems.
Therefore when , we mention the version, system know the planning area.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Datta
