How is the Capacity Leveling of R/3 is different from APO??? What are the additional enhancements available in APO????

Hi

Capacity leveling in ecc and APO. APO DS planning board has following enhanced feature over ECC planning board.

1. Enhanced Performance

2. loading alternative resources with simple planning option of drag drop.

3. Adjustment of orders at higher bom level or lower bom level according to reschedule dates at particular level by using heuristics.

4. Automatic scheduling heuristic to sort problems like backlog.

5. Automatic loading of alternative resources.

6. More options of configuring planning board design like different order items can be veiwed in different colours etc.

Hi Ram,

Apart from santhosh mentioned, the following are the other

features added into it

1) Levelling of specific bottleneck resources

2) Levelling of all types of resource categories

3) Levelling done at user specific level interactively

4) Suited to level capacity at large data volumes and very

complex models

5) Interactive planning has the advantage that you can

display the resource load directly before and after leveling.
