getting error-Characteristic results cannot be recorded

After doing GR ,lot is created.in QA32 i am getting error.

Cud any one please tell me why i am getting error-Characteristic results cannot be recorded fo

inspection lot 040000000056.

and how to rectify this issue.

and pls also tell me the meaning of-

CRTD CHCR SPRQ

REL CALC SPRQ

LTCA PASG

INSP RREC SPRQ.

Hi,

Your lot must be at cretaed status that is why system is giving you error. So please check status of lot.IF it is CRTD then it is at created.. May be inspection plan has not been assigned to lot. For that in QA32 screen click on inspection lot where go to inspection specification their you have to assign inspection plan & save.& come back Refresh check the status of lot if ir REL that is lot is released now you can take result.

Status

CRTD--Lot at Created ( Inspection plan to be assigned ,sample qty to be calculated )

SPRQ--Qty posting required ( Stock posting still pending )

REL-- Released ( Lot has been released ,plan has been assigned )

CLAC--Sample Calculated ( Sample qty calculated )

LTCA--Lot cancelled ( In case if you cancel the lot system show you this status )

PASG--Plan/specification assigned ( Inspection plan assigned to lot )

CHCR--Charecteristic must be created

INSP-- Inspection active ( Means result recording is still open

RREC--Result confirmed ( Means result recording is over )

Possibly status of the lot will be

CRTD CHCR SPRQ

means that you have not assigned the task list to the inspection lot

if task list exists with proper usage then go to QA02>inspec specification>click on inspec specs-->click on sample.

check the status will be come

REL CALC SPRQ

LTCA PASG

is lot cancelled

INSP RREC SPRQ.

results have been recorded but needs to do stock posting

Hi,

Go to Material master - inspection set up then go to details of insp type 04.Select the indicator "check char".

Meaning of different status -

CRTD CHCR SPRQ - Created means for this mtrl there is no insp plan available

REL CALC SPRQ - Released and stock posting required

LTCA PASG - lot cancelled

INSP RREC SPRQ - results are recorded not UD done.
