Valuation class change

Hi ppl,

I need to change valuation class for a material code in material master. but stock exists in certain plants and open purchase order and open process order also exist. pls suggest.

options that had been explored are :

1. close all the open purchase order and process order.

2. our valuation class is maintained at plan level, so we cant transfer stock to another storage location. Pls suggest.

Hi

Kindly nill the stock in the plant for that material and then change the valuation class

As per my suggestion once you close all the op[en orders then use the 551 movement type to consume the material in the concern G/l account and after valuation class change update the inventory through 561

the above will be done once the business approvs

All Open Orders have to be closed.

Stocks can be issued to cost center or an Order created for this purpose or through Physical Inventory

This can be reversed once the valuation class is changed

i juz dont understand the material movement alone. can u pls elaborate on that. like which t codes to be used to move the stock

MB1A for 551 movement type

Mb1c for 561 movement type
