differences between ddntf and ddntf_conv_uc

Dear All!

We are at the unicode preparations creating namtabs - it is the report radcucnt. In logs there are no errors displayed and there are no missing namtabs.

But we count the entries of the tables on databaselevel and there are some strange things:

The entries of table ddntt -> ddntt_conv_uc are equal.

But the entries of table ddntf ->ddntf_conv_uc have differences; aprox 160 entries.

Did anybody know something about this - is it normal?

Hi Thomas,

did you have a look at SAP note 932779 ?

There you will find a good explanation regarding nametab handling.

It also provides a good description how to check the nametab handling after export (see: 2.1 The nametab switch --> point 2.).

The direct count on ddntf and ddntf_conv_uc does not give the same result as the tables include a BLOB field. In some cases, this field is not long enough and hence new entries will be created.
