No source code in SRS Component

Hi forum

we have installed the component BPISRSRS (BPISRSRS 1.40 SP3

(1000.1.40.3.0.20090430053958) )

like part of our mobile requirement , another

requirement is modify this standard component

Steps we have done:

1) Installed all the infrastructure for NWDI

2) Installed the SCA of the application

3) Configured the track in NWDI

4) Create the connection in NWDS

When we use the DC View in Netweaver Developer Studio

for try to get the source code in our local development environment

of the SRS Component, doesn´t appear the "Create DC Component" option

in the menu of the NWDS, for get source code of SRS Component.

Hi,

there's a trick to find it out easily:

any SCA file you download from the marketplace is a zip like archive, so you can extract it, or just watch its contents with winrar/winzip after renaming it to zip.

Such a software component can have 3 kind of main folders:

BUILDARCHVES, DEPLOYARCHIVES and SOURCEARCHIVES.

If it contains no SOURCEARCHIVES -- then either it is a false delivery like in case of note #1455845, but rather --

it means: the software is meant not for development, but only for build or deployment.
