How to inactive client 300

Dear All,

I want to inactive my client 300.

My prdocution client is 200. I set the profile entry like (login/system_client = 200).

Also I donot want to any end users login into my client 300. This Client 300 will be deleted after couple of months.

We are keeping client 300 is temprorarily for backup purpose.

Please let me know how to protect or inactive client 300 temprorarily (SAP R3 4.6C) in my SAP System.

Hi Malai,

There can be another solution for inactiving the 300 client as you said.

when ever user logins to particular client the entries are checked in T000 table in scc4 once the entry is deleted in SCC4 the client would not be available for selection for any users and when ever requied you create the entry again.

and as said above please lock all the users in su10 before deleting an entry in scc4.

Hi,

You can simply lock all the users except DDIC, SAP* and any BASIS user in client 300. You can use SU10 t-code for the same.

This way you can prevent users from using this client and can take the backup also.

Keep only Administrator user unlocked.

Depending on your version, locking users could also be achieve using the EWZ5 transaction.

(i don't know if it is available on your version).
