ERM Error - Canu00B4t see miscellaneous

Hi all,

i hope you are doing well. My problem consists in the following. When i go to miscellaneous in the configuration TAB, an error like this:

Application error occurred during request processing.

Details: java.lang.NullPointerException: null

Exception id: [0026B952CCF3004E0000002600001A98000481F30F33A84F]

Hi Iyanani,

Mostly commonly this issue comes up when "Intial Data Files" not uploaded.

Please try re-loading "Intial Data Files" and see if the error comes again.

I have already done that and did not work. any other idea??

Could it be possible that the initial data from the other capabilities is messing up ERM? I have already configured the other capabilities, with no issues(kind of).

What SP level of ERM are you on? Download the initial data files for that SP again and re-upload as it is mentioned in the readme which comes with the download. After the import, restart the server.

I also had this issue very recently.

This should resolve the issue. If not then open the CSS message wtih SAP.

I am in AC 5.3 SP10. i downloaded the files and extracted the XML ones but i can't find the readme file in the VIRRE Folder.

Did you only re-upload the VIRRE initial data files only?

Most of the time there will be a change in "Initial Data Files" for bug fixes in each support pack.

So,it is a recomended procedure to upload "Initial Data Files" for all capabilities of Access Control whenever a latest SP is been applied on Access Control system.

Please refer to Note # 1226459 for confirmation.

The solution was a merge with plenty of your replys.

I had to upload ALL Initial files again, and then restart Java Instance.

I'm having the same issue, on SP11. However, the download from service marketplace only gives me the SCA file. If there are updated initial data files, where would they be distributed?

Hi Santosh,

All master data files (Initial Data Files/Rule files etc) are all part of "VIRACCNTNT*.SAR" file which is part of JAVA Component "SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL 5.3 TXT" under Support Package.
