Negative sign in Interactive Form

Hi All,

In a field the user can enter values from -9.999 to 9.999

I declared the field as decimal and specified the number of leading digits to 1 and trailing digits to 3.

But in this case I am not able to enter negative sign.

Please let me know your inputs.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Chandra Indukuri

You can get F1 help from the LCD menu, search for pattern.

And I would like to recommend to contribute back and receive at least few points, because we don´t support people who keep on asking and never helped a living soul. This is the last warning. Otto

Hello,

open your LCD, F1 help and look for keyword "pattern". There are patterns for display and for edit. I think you should create a propper pattern and that will resolve your problem. If you would like to double check, you can place the field into your context, then use drag and drop and see what attributes will the generated field have.

Otto, thanks for your reply.

When I try to open the help using F1, I got the following message:

Navigation to the Webpage was canceled

Do you know how to fix this?

Thanks,

Either use a Numeric Field or for Decimal Fields use szzz9.99 as Display pattern. Also remove the Leading and trailing digits option.

for those of you who can, please upgrade to LCD 8.1 - patterns are A LOT easier to use in 8.1

thanks for the reply.

Where can I get the information about how to use the patterns?

I have issue with the F1 help. I am getting an error message: "Navigation to the webpage canceled".

Do you know how to fix that issue?

Thanks,
