Hi Experts,

I have made all the SMTP cofigurations in my ECC IDES system as per the note 455140.

Also previously it was working fine too. but from some days it gives error.

"Internal error: CL_SMTP_RESPONSE ESMTP error code is not known. 554 554 Relay rejected for policy reasons."

Also i have checked host entries in node SMTP in tcode SCOT.

Thanks.

Hi Umesh,

This is not the problem from SAP side it seems.

You need to contact the mail server administrator.

Hi Raja,

Thanks for the reply.

But the same settings i have done in my development and its working fine.

So if it is a mail server issuse than in development also it should not work.

Also the mail host which i entered in SCOT in SMTP node is pinging with the given port.

So what else can be the problem.

I have checked the ICM trace files there it shows some error as :

ERROR => NiBufIConnect: non-buffered connect pending after 5000ms (hdl 31;<host_ip>:1090) [nibuf.cpp 4608]

WARNING => Connection request from (0/1/0) to host: <host_IP>, service: 1090 failed (NIECONN_REFUSED).

So does this relates to my issue.

Thanks

Hi Umesh,

Do you have any error message like "Recipient address rejected" in the ICM trace file?

And also from your error ERROR => NiBufIConnect: non-buffered connect pending after 5000ms

Is your web-dispatcher is running fine?

Thats not 100% right, check that the IP Address of your SAP server is populated on the relay agent of your SMTP server, the developement server IP might be already there.

Hi Raja / Juan,

Thanks for your replies,

@Raj I don't have any error message as "Recipient address rejected".

And could you please tell me how to check whether SAP web dipatcher is active or not.

Also the services required for SAP webdispatcher are active in SICF.

@ juan Could you please tell me how to populate the IP address of SAP System in SMTP server relay agent.

Thanks

This is something that need to be done by your mail team, SAP does not support SMTP authentication so the IP of your SAP server need to be added to the Relay Agent of the SMTP server (Mail Server).

Juan
