Solution Manager EHP 1 with EHPi?

Hello all

I want to update my Solution Manager 7.0 Stack 17 system to Solman EHP 1. I hoped I could gather some experiences for a later ERP EHP 4 update with the non critical Solution Manager system.

Because of that I thoughtI perform the EHP 1 update on Solution Manager with this new tool "Enhancement Package Installer" (ehpi).

All information about Solution Manager and EHP 1 I found are pointing to an installation of EHP 1 with the transaction saint (f. ex. see note Note 1169247 - Additional info for Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 update).

After some investigations I found out:

- EHP 1 installation for Solution Manager is performed with transaction "saint".

- EHP 4 and Netweaver EHP 1 are performed with the program ehpi.

Is that right?

Yes. This is right. I have applied EHP1 SP21 on two Solution Manager with saint transaction.

That's right, I found the answer in note 1169247

• Using the Enhancement Package Installer (EHPI)

o You can perform the update only using SAINT and JSPM. Using the EHPI is not intended and is not supported. Ignore the corresponding message in transaction SAINT.
