Dear Guru's,
After configuring the SCOT in our system, we enabled the mail forwarding option in SO36 but it not reflecting. After doing this, if I send a mail means it should show 2 receipt address, but its showing only sap user id not mail id.
Could anyone suggest on this.
regards,
Guna
Hi BasisGuna,
You have hit one of the limitations of SAPconnect. The SAP system is not designed to be used as a mail backbone. Below is a excerpt from Note 403128:-
Symptom
A mail (or FAX) is sent into an SAP System and is supposed to be
delivered to a user there. The user, however, uses the system to forward
his mails to another mail system. This works only in exceptional cases.
Additional key words
SAPconnect, Office, office, forward, message, document
Cause and prerequisites
For some (or all) users of the SAP system, SAP made the setting that
they use an external mail system. This can be achieved in two ways:
o Mail system group (as of Release 4.6B)
For the current SAP System the mail system group was activated in
the "Shared office settings". For some (or all) users, a
deviating mail system was set as home mail system.
o Automatic forwarding
For some (or all) users, an automatic forwarding to an external
address was set.
Solution
The SAP System is not designed to serve as a mail backbone. It is not
planned to execute a re-routing via the SAP System.
The system must make the routing required for the home delivery before
the mail reaches the SAP System. If the system sends the mail into the
SAP System, it tries to deliver it there. SAP cannot guarantee a forward
routing to another mail system.
underlineThe automatic forwarding and the mail system group are only for mails
that are created and sent within the same SAP System_underline_
