MDM Sizing, Hardware Requirments

Hi,

Can anyone let me know for SAP MDM Console Version 5.5 SP3 what would be the Hardware requirements such as Hard disk, network bandwidth, physical memory, CPU power, and I/O capacity. There would be approx. 15000 to 2000 records. The database for MDM is Oracle 9.0.2.1 and OS is AIX 5.3. I tried to search through Service Market and quick sizer, but cannot find proper information. Any help shall be highly appreciated.

Hi Hemal,

Go to http://service.sap.com/mdm -> Installation & Upgrade Guides -> Planning -> MDM -> SAP MDM 5.5 Documentation Center.

Now look in the Planning section. There is a document called MDM 5.5 SP03 - Sizing Guide. This will provide the information you need.

Thanks very much for info. I could go only upto Installation & Upgrade Guides -> Planning -> Then selecting BY COMPONENTS option in Select your view tab. But, I get an <u>error</u> while opening link, <u>MDM 5.5 SP03 - Sizing Guide</u>. If you don't mind can you please send the documentation to my email address: Hemal_Gandhi@colpal.com.

Hi,

I found Information about disk sizing using formula

n * (12KB + m * 1KB)

With… n…number of cases or records

m…number of elements in case (embedded record) or record

so 1,000,000 records per year, each with 5 elements will consume roughly 16 GB.

However, I'm unable to find sizing info. for CPU and Memory Consumption.

Any suggestion would be helpful.
