Need to configure mail server in 4.6C System

Hi Guru's,

I need to configure mail server in 4.6C R/3 with SQL2005 enviornment.

While configuring Scot setting need to give in RFC external program and hostname.

I have searching relavent documents in the help.sap and few sap notes, as per documents we need to use third party tool or configure mail server in Unix server. In Unix server need to create external program,the same external program we need to give in the rfc program name.

This situation please suggest third party tool for configure the mail server or any relevent URL.

Any solution from you will be of great help.

We are installed R/3 System 4.6 C that is in Windows 2003 with SQL 2005 enviornment.

The URL is support above enviornment also.

What kind of "mail server" is that? Or is that just a mail relay?

Hi Deve,

You will have to use the IMG and Sendmail as the SMTP relay agent. Please take a look at SAP Note 99965 for configuration of the IMG.
