Only One SAPDATA file created in Oracle 64bit

Hi,

I have just installed ERP 6.0 EHP4 DIMP IDES on Windows2008 with oracle 64 bit.

Installation went fine, but when i check the directory, it has created only one folder for SAP DATA,

when we install sap on oracle it creates multiple data files, like sapdata1 , sapdata1,3,4,...

but here in my case it has created only one, which has taken the space around 190 GB,.

kindly advise.

Regards,

Irfan

Hi,

No problm!.

Still, you can use "Advanced DB Configuration" in the SAPINST screen to distribute the tablespaces

No need to worry - everything is fine.

You can specify the amount of sapdata folders in SAPINST, when you are installing the SAP system. If you use the defaults, you are locating all oracle data files in one sapdata.

It doesn't matter.

In case of windows this will also not effect the performance as long as you don't want to spread the I/O workload over several disks (= different drive letters).
