Planning area initialization

Hi all,

Please tell me what actually happens when a planning area is initialized? And wht is the reason behind the creation of Time Seris Objects equivalent to the initialization of the planning area?

Hi,

The liveCache objects in which data is saved are based on the planning area. Initializing the P.A is all about updating your master data. If no time series key figures are included in the planning area then the context menu function for initializing is called Initialize Planning Version . If at least one time series key fig exit in the planning area, function is called Create time series objects.
