parallelization of Background Jobs

I understand that there will be performance improvemment if server nodes are increased resulting in parallelization of Background Jobs.

Our environment is single server node on J2EE stand alone server.I

I've seen documents on adding server nodes in cluster environment.

Can anyone suggest on how to increase server nodes in J2EE stand alone server.

Thank you,

Partha

Hi Partha,

Go to Config Tool >> menu >> Add server node

Make sure that that the new server node(s) has correct java paramerters.

Save and restart java instance.

I've tried 4 in parallel. 4 times faster analysis, but also 4 times higher chance that something goes banana.

Thanks. I've added server node via config tool and restarted the server.

The new node "server1" doesn't appear in Analysis Engine Daemon Manager. It still shows only one node server0.

Am I missing anything?

Thank you,

Hi,

Goto Netweaver Administrator >> Administration >> Applicaitons

Search for application grc~ccxsysbgear and select it. Check if the application is started on both servers.

(Re)start the application if necessary.

Kind Regards,

Vit

It will provide you with a good overview and related documents pertaining to parallelization.
