can't compile after upgrade to 7.01 SP6

Hi all,

We originally made our model in VC 7.0 SP18, * compilation with Flex 1.5

after the upgrade, we are now in VC 7.01 SP6

we just can't compile in Flex 2, it hangs in 70% aprox, no error throws

any idea? suggestion?

is it getting stuck in the COMPILE part or the DEPLOY part?

first just try compilling without deploying if that works , then maybe you have problems in your portal permisasions, you will need write to portal access to write the iview to portal.

Both, gets stuck on 70%.

Buy when doing deployment IE send a popup message:

We did a pretty simple model, just one iView with one Form and one BAPI, and we figure out

that VC is not deploying in Flex 2, (the compilation is ok).

It sends a generic error message:

Flex2Compiler.Compile: XGLException: Generic Exception:

And when we test a data service, we get this error:

Portal request failed

(XML is not valid: ERRORS : cvc-complex-type : attribute u2018/

: request[1]/@{}:componentu2019 is not declared in the schema.

cvc-element : element information item u2018/

: Request[1]u2019 is not valid with respect to itu2019s complex type definition..)

any help would be great

Hi Alex,

Please check have you update the compatible version for Visual Composer(All component) to properly work on VC 7.01 SP6.

As you suggested, I can see only the VCBASE component update to 7.01 SP6.

Don't know why the rest of the components were not updated.

Do I have to apply the EHP1 SP Stack 06 again?

or maybe apply the EHP1 SP5 and then the hot fix?

The Basis team did the upgrade and now I'm pretty sure all the components were updated to 7.01 SP6.

But still can't compile.

As I said it hangs at 70%, no error.

any other idea?

Hi there,

We also 'moved' from EHP1 SP5 too SP6 last weekend and have BIG problems. We can't use our visual composer models anymore. We are stuck at deploying at 85 % and get the following error when we look in the NWA logs and traces

ACCESS.ERROR: Authorization check for caller assignment to J2EE security role [sap.com/com.sap.lcr*sld : LcrClassWriter].

I looked at SDN and sap hotfixes but cant find anything....

If anybody has a solution please response

My issues is solved....

it had to do with the java parameters and its memory. our basis guy made some changes to the setting and all is OK
