downlading NWDI trail version

Hi ,

Can anyone tell me where can i download the trail version of nwdi, does the latest CE7.2 trail version comes with NWDI?or any trail version which has NWDI for playing around.

Hi PKV,

Yes, it will comes under NWDI but you need to deploy DTR, CBS and CMS .sca file in the server in order to work..But as CE7.2 those .sca file are not available in Service market place now.

> You will require Service Market Palce id to download NWDI Component.

You need to deploy in the server. Accessing NWDI administration http://host:port/devinf once intalled.

Thanks for your reply, Have you done this on SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW CE 7.1, i.e by downloading the 3 sca files and deploying in to SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW CE 7.1 trail version and successfully get access to nwdi.And also all the downloads from sdn ie SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW CE 7.2 or any others are not working, its giving an error on download.

I have successfully downloaded the 3 sca files and deploying in to SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW CE 7.1 and successfully configured to access nwdi.

>Check access to Service market place User ID whether you have download access or not.

Please let me know issue what you are getting.

can you check the url and let me know its allowing you to download onceyou select the radio button and hit accept and download.

Hi PKV,

Once you select radio button, and click on "I Agree - Download selected file"

it will ask you "Information Bar"..Click on OK, then right click on yellow link and click on "Download file"

Composition Environment (contains Java EE) (1.8 GB) - Able to Save

SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (856 MB) - Able to Save

Composition Environment - Java EE only (1.2 GB) - Able to Save

Please clear browser cache and temp file and try again

wow,Thanks a lot, i cleared the cache of IE and now able to download the CE71, after installing CE71, and regarding the NWDI configuration on CE71, Once i deploy these SCA files,what are the steps need to be done to set it up,can you briefly write down the steps or point me to any guide in sdn, help.sap which is useful, will award you you max points.This will be really helpful, Appreciate all your help.

Hi PKV,

Once you successfully deploy NWDI SCA file, you can access NWDI Administrator http://host:port/devinf (You can to assign NWDI roles to access NWDI Administrator)

Thanks for you help, i am able to setup nwdi but facing 2 problems,

For a simple test,I created a product, SC in SLD and while adding dependencies i added requred DC as SAP JAVA TECH SERVICES 7.00, SAP J2EE ENGINE CORE 7.00,SAP J2EE ENGINE 7.00,DI BUILDT TOOL 7.00 and then updated cms, kept these sca in the inbox,then created track and in transport studio did checkin, then from dev tab did import, the import runs and fails at CBS make with following error.

no changes on the CBS request queue (CE1_DEMO_D) after a waiting time of 14430000 ms

20100317122759 Fatal :The request queue is not processed by the CBS during the given time intervall => TCS cannot import the request because queue is not empty

20100317122759 Fatal :Please look after the operational status of the CBS.

for this i read that the CBS services properties need to be set from visual admin, but CE 7.11 doesnot have visual admin,

so how can i see or set the properties BUILD_TOOL_JDK_HOME,JDK_HOME_PATH,idleStart to false;

AS these *.7.00 sca are related to NW7.0 , i dont think i can develop application in NWDS CE version?Can i develop NW7.0 based applications using NWDI CE7.11 version?

2nd question:

i am having the JDK 1.5 in my system currently,

So for building SAP JAVA TECH SERVICES 7.00, SAP J2EE ENGINE CORE 7.00,SAP J2EE ENGINE 7.00,DI BUILDT TOOL 7.00 do i need JDK 1.4 also:

If i want to develop CE application i need SAP JAVA TECH SERVICES 7.11, SAP J2EE ENGINE CORE 7.11,SAP J2EE ENGINE 7.11,DI BUILDT TOOL 7.11 SCA's, but when adding dependencies i didnot found these in the SLD table which shows selection of dependencies,

Also from where can i get *.711 scas required for CE application developemnt, itried in service market place but didnot found the exact location.

Please give your valuable suggestions.

hi,

regarding your 2nd question

update your sld according note 669669. then you will see 7.11 stuff in the sld.

you can find all the scas in the media which you downloaded to install the CE server.

Hi Pkv,

You as your comment, you need to set JAVA_HOME system varialble in enviromental variable under My Computer>properties>Advance.

You require JDk1.5 or higher..JDk1.4.2 not required for CE7.1

For CE7.11 SCA, you can find under service market place >> Download >> SAP Software Distribution Center >>

Support Packages and Patches>Entry by Application Group>SAP NetWeaver>SAP NETWEAVER>SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW CE 7.1>Entry by Component.
