OS for PI7.1

Hi

i am planning to install PII7.1 in my home system.

i am having a doubt can i install on WINDOWS SERVER 2003? i dont have windows server 64 bit OS.

some one told me its not possible on WINDOWS 2OO3 32 Bit OS. so i have to go for WINDOWS 2003 64 Bit OS.is it so?

could u please tell me what re the recomended OS is needed for installing PI7.1.

Can i ask how you register and license a home copy of PI7.1???

Hi Munnav,

I checked in PAM for 7.1 the only supported OS are:

WINDOWS SERVER 2003/IA64 64BIT

WINDOWS SERVER 2003/X64 64BIT

Also as michal suggested please see the installation guide also for further information.

Hi Munnav,

You can install on this. But there are few restrictions. I see the comments from sap as:

DB Client Release for Application Server only

Check note 919225 for Windows IA32 system requirements.

So please see the Product availability matrix here: https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/pam

Once you go there you can go to SAP Netweaver 7.0 --> and then click on Operating Systems. There you can see all of them.

if he wants 7.1 it's better to check for 7.1 install guide

and not in 7.0 as those systems got changed a little bit (in terms of OS support)
