Hi Expers,
My requirement is, When transporting goods from Plant to Customer (SALE), we use transshipment points where goods will be kept and then forwarded to Customer.
For Ex. Plant to nearest Railway Station good will move in a Truck. there till be unloaded and when Rake is available goods will be loaded in to the Rake(Train) to the Customer. In this process goods will be lying at this point for some time (Day/s).
So my client wants to track (Only Quantity) the goods kept at the transshipment point. Transshipment point is nothing but a place where good are kept (godown).

You can use the concept of transportation connection point to identify a transshipment point. The shipment can be updated to identify that the stocks have indeed move to the transportation connection point.
Then a report can be developed to identify the shipments (and consequently, the deliveries and stocks) that are currently at that point.

The standard cycle of transportation is as follows:
- Creation of a shipment against delivery using VT01N.
- In the stages tab, enter the transportation connection points manually (which needs to be configured). It is possible to determine it automatically as well.
- When the goods reach a particular place (eg a railway station), make an entry in the shipment against the connection point by providing the arrival date/time using VT02N.
- When goods are moved out of the point, the departure date/time can be mentioned updated using VT02N.

The custom report can check the data of the shipment legs and identify the points for which there is no departure date/time. That point will be the one where the shipment is present. The report can get the material data from the deliveries linked to the shipment.
