I am trying to configure JOB DOCUMENTATION in "Solution Manager / JSM", under tab "SYSTEMS" when assigning "Logical Components" on the bottom of this screen there is a table "Systems", when in this part trying to ativate "Monitoring" getting following error:
1. System is not assigned to the leading
Can someone pl. help to understand how to assign a system as "Leading:
2. Under tab "Contact Person" I am not able to assign "email, and Telephone**" fields under "communication" are gray, and cannot be modify.

A solution has set a particular environment as leading in the solution directory (SOLAR_DIRECTORY) . For monitoring, Production must be assigned as leading.
Go to the tab "System Group" and it is the first drop-down list there, entitled "Leading Role of the Solution". Assign "Production system" here. If it is greyed out, you must delete any logical components first, then reassign them after you have set the leading system.

Hello Sahmad,
1. The prerequisite for Job Monitoring are: Active Business Process Monitoring and - of course - business processes with steps documented in a solution in SAP Solution Manager
What you need to do: Assign a solution, process, step to teh Job Documentation, select it and onyl then you can open the Job Monitoring application.
The configuration of BPMon and JSM is shown in this tutorial: http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001911422008E.sim
Information on BPMon: /people/volker.vongloeden/blog/2009/12/11/faqs-about-business-process-monitoring
2. Assign users (SU01) or business partners (BP) as contact persons. The relevant information is then read from the corresponding transaction.
Kind regards,
Martin
