Hi,

Your DB size is not so big.

If you PRD System is having 2 Clients then 65 GB will be total space.

We want to refresh the test system with production data.

You can perform Remote Client Copy. Please perform Test Run before executing actual Remote Client Copy. Both activities should be done in low workload of SAP PRD System.

Alternatively, also You can perform Client Export/Import.

Please refer following SAP Notes to get more information.

SAP Note 118823 CC-ADMIN: Size of a client

SAP Note 116787 CC-TOPIC: Remote client copy

Thank you

My production system has only one client 003.

So my question is, is there any problem with space in test system because there is no space in file system?

We have done previously remote client copy that time production data base size was 60 GB.

Thanks,

Hi,

Lot of Offline Redo Log Files will be created during such Client Copy on Target System (in your case it is Test Server). So, You will have to provide sufficient Disk Space at Test Server to accommodate your PRD Client Data + Offline Redo log files, to avoid other headache.

another possibility is to disable archiving before client copy, but this needs SAP and Oracle to be shutdown for a few moments. plan this accordingly.
